"Silver Lake is a beautiful location and having cabins to rent on the lake side is pretty special. The cabins are old and rather quirky, but you can over look some inconveniences, like luke warm water, missing chairs for dining, no plugs in the sinks and even a mouse in your room. But when we checked in they charge me for the room even though I had paid for it . I had to find my credit card bill to show I had paid for the room. Once I showed them my credit card statement they refunded the money...

"Beautiful room right on the river. Slept with the window open and enjoyed the sounds of the river. Basic room - Very clean, modern room. Will definitely return, especially in the winter when it snows. If you come in the summer, bring an inner tube to cruise down the lake. Highly recommend for a basic, inexpensive alternative to South Lake, which is only 30 min away."

"Super cute cabin vibe! Perfect for our little trio!!! Close to multiple restaurants! Beach Hut Deli, a cute little bakery and close to downtown! The firepit areas was so cute and peaceful. Awesome place to stay!"

"It was nice that coffee was right there on the same property! We stayed over 4th of July and it was super busy, but Camp Richardson was close to everything wanted to do. We rented kayaks and took a boat ride to tour the Vikingsholm castle right from the marina."

"This was a quiet place to stay in a very busy area. The room was spacious. The bathroom was a bit tiny but got the job done. Parking was very easy. It did say that fans were available and in the rooms. So no ac. There were 3 fans and the windows.were open. Thankfully it was a cooler night and not hot and humid. We only needed 1 and did see space heaters for when it has cooler weather. Besides being a little outdated this was a fine place to sleep, freshen up and recharge."

"Isolated location but convenient for hiking, fishing, etc. Cottages are well constructed and comfortable. Try to get one a bit away from the restaurant. Good choice for younger travelers looking to enjoy the outdoors; not so much for older people with any mobility issues."

"Cozy and beautiful cabin. You will really need to have a suv or any high clearance car to park in the driveway due to the steepiness of the driveway(included in the instructions.) No air conditioning except for masters bedroom. Might be better to have portable AC in all rooms during summer. Most of of us, unable to sleep because it was hot when we went. 90s weather. Fans are provided if needed otherwise ceiling fans are installed. Nice to have private hot tub and private pool, sauna and...

"Pros: We like the room layout with a separate sitting area that has a day bed. It was a comfortable room, very comfortable bed and pillows. Cons: bathroom door squeaked loudly- so we left it wide open to avoid waking everyone when using the bathroom at night. The shower floor was quite slippery, we were scared of slipping/falling...we had to be very cautious getting in and out of the shower. Shower edges did not look very clean otherwise everything else was clean. We would book it again. It...

"The room was ok. A bit expensive at $450 a night. The room had big chucks of paint peeling off the walls in the bathroom, the bathroom floor is extremely slick tile, and the shower sprays SCALDING hot water every minute or so while in use. It is as if the cold water just get routinely shut off once a minute. I WOULD BE VERY CAREFUL BATHING YOUR CHILDREN IN THERE! The grounds are minimally kept. However, the staff was amazing and always kind and polite."

"We had a fantastic stay at Black Bear Lodge. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning wooden interior that gives it a real mountain lodge feel. It was incredibly peaceful and the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location was ideal too, tucked away in a quiet setting but only a short drive from local shops, restaurants and other amenities. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area."
