We had two separate reservations, but the front desk wouldn’t let us stay in the same room. According to her, the first room that was given to us had already been reserved for another guest the next day. They expected us to vacate the room by 11 a.m. (checkout time), even though the second room wasn’t ready yet.
I work in a hotel as a rooms controller, and it doesn’t make sense to ask housekeeping to strip two rooms when they could have simply moved the next guest to a different room. Instead, they chose to inconvenience us just because "it’s already reserved for someone else." I would understand if I had booked a deluxe room, but this was just a standard room.
