"The hotel was beautiful. Most of the staff was very sweet and inviting. The meals were delicious and cooked for us when we arrived downstairs. It is very close to the downtown area so you can easily walk, which is a huge plus. There was only one lady, I believe the manager, who was very unfriendly and rather cold on the phone. Also, our room had a fireplace for ambiance, but we found out it when we got there that it was not available to use in the summer unless you give them advanced notice,...

"Our first room had our neighbor’s TV noise coming through the adjoining door, so we asked for a switch. They graciously gave us a new room. Apparently they are in the process of “walling over” all the adjoining doors for sound-proofing. The new room had already been remodeled and was cozy, clean, and quiet!"

"The room we paid for was very small. There was hardly room to walk around the bed. There was a rustic bench to put items onto, no cabinet with draws. The bathroom was down the hall, and the window was wide open at 9 p.m. allowing a gale to blow through. I closed it. The sitting space outside the room was always cold. There is rustic and then there is deferred maintenance. The furniture is very well used, the carpet had hole in it on the stairs. No one offered to help us carry luggage up...

"Very nice room, great pillows, 4 good size ones on each of queen beds in our double room. Love lighted makeup mirror in bathroom, a nice perk many rooms at this price point dont have. Coffee was great too."
