"The property was perfect"

"The hotel in itself was good, the staff was AMAZING, but what brought my rating down is the area of town it is in and the prostitution running out of the parking lot. I had two women approach me (a woman) at 4am while I was getting ready to leave the hotel to finish my road trip home asking me if I would like their services. No thank you. Again, the hotel was nice but the area and surroundings were TERRIBLE."

"Tropical Storm Arthur passed through the area on the day of my arrival. Cancelled due to flood warnings. Concerned about driving with 10-20 inches rain predicted. Hotel would not work with me on a credit for a future stay or a partial refund."

When we booked this year I hoped she would be there still and she is. She goes above and beyond to ensure guests have what they need, even personally delivering extra towels to our room. "Unique spot next to a wonderful venue with Zydeco music. Music carried through the room but somehow that's just fine."

"Hot water was barely lukewarm and no water pressure at sink and shower. Not sure if this is normal. Bathtub is peeling in big pieces. How they resolve these soon because it was clean and folks were nice."

"Beautiful house and setting. We loved the garden and the outside seating. The breakfast was traditional Louisiana with all guests seated together ‘a la famille’ We stayed in the Victorian room which was spacious and well equipped."
