"Wonderful properly location wise and love floor to ceiling windows mostly and location. Rooms and amenities are quite dated though, I think though property got fair price-value for the area. I would not pay more than $150 for room there. "

"What a great place to stay!! Beautiful area and the rooms are condos, so it was like being in a home away from home. The people are super nice as well. And it’s right at Winter Park base so the area is gorgeous! One important thing to keep in mind is that due to the average highs in the lower 70s and low humidity, the units don’t have AC, so if it’s going to be unseasonably warm, that could be an issue for some. "As adult ski bums, we tried out 4 Winter Park inns under $200/night in this season. Viking Lodge is our favorite and the least expensive. It is an old lodge and exactly what they advertise: a very basic room with private bath and a refrigerator. If you can enjoy an old fashioned ski lodge, this is a perfect place. (If you need glamour and upscale, this is not your place.) The room was very comfortable with lots of extra pillows. There is no breakfast (same as 2 of the other lodges we stayed...
