"I want to clarify that the hotel is nice, but the bed and couch were so uncomfortable that I ended up checking out at 4 AM. I couldn’t sleep, and on top of that, the people upstairs kept making noise.
Second, we went to the pool and didn’t even get to enjoy it. When we arrived, there were about nine high schoolers in the pool. At first, we thought, “whatever,” but then more showed up from the entrance in the back. I’m not sure if one of the boys’ moms works there and that’s how they got in, but I have two teenagers myself, and they were being very disrespectful and loud with each other, so we didn’t even stay 15 minutes.
As we were leaving, another couple was about to get into the pool, but once they saw the boys, they turned around and went back inside the hotel. You pay to enjoy all the amenities, and this experience was really disappointing. I understand the pool has to be shared among hotel guests, but I didn’t realize it was open like a community pool. We had already seen these kids around town, and they seemed to be up to no good.
It’s such a beautiful, quiet, and peaceful town, but after this experience, I’m not sure I would come back."
"Room and bathroom were very clean. A/c worked well. Restaurant had good good and service. Very good coffee drinks. Fire pit was lit for us every night and plenty of wood was provided."
"The place is really old. They try to keep it up and the lobby and dining rooms were kept nice. But the room we had, that is another story. It was for the most part in the parking lot of the gas station next door and on a noisy road. The floor was very uneven, the furniture old and it had a slight old musty spell. We decided not to even stay the night even though they would refund us our money."
"Such a wonderful experience. Felt safe as a solo traveler. Appreciated all of the little touches to make this place so great! Highly recommend and would stay again!"
