We had a friendly welcome from Jane and her staff. The room was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. The pub closed early on Sunday night, so we had to go elsewhere for food, but it meant a very peaceful night. Strongly recommended!

Haven’t been to Aviator Hampshire for a number of years, but it was just as lovely as I remembered. Room, Sky Bar, Breakfast, Staff - all exceptional. Special mention to Will on the front desk and Poppy who was assisting with breakfast in the morning. I’d highly recommend and I plan to return in the near future. Thank you!

This is a unique and characteristic hotel with lots of history and amazing architecture. The scenery, gardens and the estate overall are simply gorgeous. The spa and the outdoor pool area is also very nice especially in good weather (it may be difficult to find a lounger when it is sunny though). The room I stayed in was nicely decorated with wood panellings and period furnitures; bed was very comfortable as well. However, if you love modern luxury, you may be disappointed with the rooms since...

We went to the mill theatre and decided to stay over at the hotel. It was in an ideal position as only a short walk to the theatre. The room was lovely

Very pleased to find it in a small village outside reading, with several medieval houses and near the river, though not on it. good restaurant and pub, and very busy.

Whenever I'm down that way, the Bird in Hand is always the first place I look for availability. Not the biggest place but then the attraction is that it isn't one of those sterile chain hotels.
The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the beds are comfortable, the meals plentiful and the breakfast filling. All in all the perfect stopover.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights for my daughters wedding.
Stayed in a suite , which was lovely and big.
The staff were very friendly and helpful always.
The food in the stables was lovely and the wedding food in the barn was delicious.
Everyone loved their rooms and all the food too and the wedding was a huge success thanks to everyone who helped organise the Special day.

Amazing stay, spotless room, lovely staff. Only feedback is that bottle of water should be free for each night of stay. £3.50 for bottled water on second night
