"What a great find! Visiting the area for a gig & decided to have 2 nights away. The Great House was a last minute booking but what a wonderful place! Idylic riverside setting in a small village with lovely bar & restaurant. "Great place to stay, nice walks nearby. Hotel looks newly freshened up. Great decor and style. Staff are lovely. Could do with a mirror also in the bedroom as once you have had a shower the one in the bathroom takes a while for the steam to go. Also if your partner is in there you can't get ready to you can use the bathroom mirror. 5-10 mins from nirvana spa "

"All I needed was a single bed with a shower, WC and basin. That I got - for under £50. Remarkably good value for Berkshire. It was all very easy, the areas nice, and the man who greeted me and said goodbye was very friendly and obliging. I'll certainly come back when I'm next in the area "

"Lovely place with great location right on the river and easy short walk in to town . Would definetrly return and recommend. If i was being picky the room and bathroom were quite tight but that didnt really bother us personsally. Easy free parking always a good thing so no.complaints from us."

"Our go-to hotel if we need somewhere to stay before a Heathrow flight. The staff are all very friendly, food is excellent (both dinner and breakfast), plentiful parking.
