"A real gem"

"You will not be disappointed with what you see once you see inside the doors. Beautifully decorated and everything you need, but... it is more like a modular 4-apartment home / b&b - no ocean view, at the end of a dirt road (lots of dust), but a few deer met us as we unpacked. We were skeptical at first, yet pleasantly surprised with our stay. I highly recommend, so long as your expectations are set."

"We had a perfect stay at this beautiful hotel. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly. The room was perfect, clean and comfy. The location and view can’t be beat. "This was a disaster! We booked this room as part of our honeymoon and we ended up getting sick from it and having to cut our stay short. The room was awkward and strange but that’s manageable. What we couldn’t stand was the intense smell of bleach that make us cough and burned our eyes and sinuses. I don’t know what they were trying to cover up but it made us sick. I woke up in the middle of the night with my sinuses burning and got to sit outside at 3 am just to breath. I ended up with a severe...

"Afternoon tea and breakfast offerings were always-changing and unique. We enjoyed the privacy of our cottage room, but the community of the house and dining. Cottage Inn staff was all friendly and helpful! The proximity to everything was very convenient. The water pressure was incredible as well."

"The place was beautiful, the rooms are large and clean. It’s about 15 minute walk from the main street so location is good as well, not too crowded . Highly recommend . Also noticed that gift shop prices at the hotel are actually slightly lower than in town if you want to buy any last minute souvenirs."

"The people who work there are so nice and very thoughtful of my experience. This was my first time traveling to Bar Harbor, and I felt very welcomed to the community. They gave me great recommendations on restaurants and places to visit. The room and bathroom were spotless (shout out to Bill!!!), and the breakfast and treat we so tasted and fun. Definitely book this place for a safe stay and warm welcome to the town!"

"The staff was very nice, they had snacks to grab before heading out on the trails. We couldn’t hear anyone else while we were in our room. The only down side was our toilet paper holder was broken but other than that the room was very cute and clean!"
