"This is the perfect place to unwind in style and enjoy a bit of luxury on a budget. We loved the hot tub, gorgeous gardens, tennis court, and having fine dining on site was an unexpected bonus. Truly, you have to eat at the restaurant, it is next level. The staff are super friendly and even let my husband into our room hours before check in so he could work while he waited for me to arrive. "We had two nights at the Alpine lodge. The concierge was friendly, the room clean and spacious and the location was only a few minutes drive from the centre of Katoomba and other tourist attractions. The decor was dated and was on a noisy road (fine if the windows are closed as they are double glazed). Having bowls and plates would be a great addition as there is a toaster, fridge and microwave but no cutlery or crockery (besides tea cups and teaspoons). But overall a clean, comfortable and...

"This is obviously a historical motel with beautiful views. No lifts so expect to carry bags up stairs. "

"This is a budget motel, so expectations should be adjusted accordingly. The room had the usual budget motel musty smell. The shower stall is small. But on the positive side, the room had a couch, a dining table, and the table settings needed to have breakfast in the room. The heater worked well, as did the available blankets."

"Very comfortable bed, and loved the easy access to the shower, no needing to step into a bath, the accommodation gave me a room that really suited my needs. The staff were wonderful, so helpful and always very pleasant. There was plenty of activities for both Adults and children, was not there long enough to partake in most of the activities."

"Spacious room and bathroom and all spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We ate dinner at the Echos restaurant which was superb. Great choice and excellent wine pairing. Breakfast was fresh with eggs cooked to order but overall choice was limited. Only downside was that, despite being told how to access the interior swimming pool, it was closed when we tried to use it. "
