"The halls smelled either like pee (first floor) or musky cigarettes(second floor). The room wasn’t very clean, dirt on the window sill, stains on the curtains. Everything seemed to be falling apart like the faucet handle coming off and the drain in the shower. They do not clean your room like you would typically expect. "Room was great - nicely renovated. Lovely lounge / restaurant. Front desk peeps very helpful. BIGGEST DRAWBACK - noise from highway was unreal. We heard every truck shift and racing engine. Literally kept us up and we're not light sleepers. Breakfast didn't start til 7:30, and menu offered small selection. "

"The interior of the rooms is old and worn. Hopefully the updated lobby is a sign that the rooms are scheduled to be updated next. Housekeeping is questionable as one of my pillowcases had a stain and the sheets smelled like hand lotion. Told the front desk about the stain and was told they would make housekeeping aware but that was the only effort made to make it right."

"The gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Noise was an issue as we were woken up several times by doors closing loudly, and people talking in the hallway. We could also hear the TV in the room above us. The shower was a little disappointing due to low water pressure. Overall, it was a good deal for our two night stay. "

"This is probably the worst experience I have with a Marriott hotel (I stay in Marriott mostly since I am an owner). This place is very old, especially inside the room. Tub was repainted but paint has faded and so color looked uneven. The bed was awful, didn’t feel supported at all. Breakfast was very mid. This whole place needs updating!"

"The Omni Charlottesville was beautiful, clean, comfortable and relaxing. The indoor pool, hot tub was very nice. There was also a sauna in the men’s and women’s changing rooms. The lobby had lots of seating areas and a bar/small plate menu. The restaurant where we had breakfast was very good and also pretty with a relaxing vibe. Parking was very good. I’d definitely stay again. We had two teenage grandchildren with us and they loved it."
