We visited the Muslim Quarter, walked on the wall, hiked at Huashan, and spent a day at the Terra-cotta Army Museum. Also visited the Bell and Drum Towers and the Taoist Temple. The neighborhood around the Temple was very hip. English was limited.

Xi'an is an interesting city that can be very busy but at the same time very calm unlike major cities such as beijing or shanghai.

My first time in China in this decade. I must say Xi'an is really advanced, in terms of payment, transportation etc. Lively city, people dressing up in ancient costumes, it's better if you speak some Mandarin.
