We stopped here for one night on our way through and it was easy to check in and out, the rooms were clean and easy to sleep in. All the staff I talked with were nice and polite. The area as a whole gave very old timey vibes, the front diner was cute

I was grateful for this lodging options so close in Yampa after a long day in the mountains. I liked the advanced check-in. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and clean. Amenities were minimal so bring what you need.

Good value when comparing to prices in Steamboat

Staff is very friendly. The motel and diner are like going back in time! Some updating would be good. Room is spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. Food at the Diner was good and open 24/7.

The staff was very helpful when asked. The amenities were few at best. The towels didn’t smell freshly cleaned like they have been sitting on a shelf for awhile but were nice and white. The shower drain needs some cosmetic repair.

A comfortable, clean place to stay

The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. Everything we look for in a hotel! We were missing a few items (soap, wash clothes) which was my only complaint. But the staff was very nice and helpful to any request I had. We also had dinner at Penny's Diner which had a good variety for a decent price. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone!

This place is really run down. For almost $250 a night, I expect a pretty decent place, this is like a $70 per night hotel. While it is poor condition, the room was clean aside from the urine in the toilet. My mom reserved a room with a queen bed, they gave her a room with a singe twin and did not offer to drop her rate. The place was completely booked, due to a volleyball tournament in a neighboring town, so she could not get a different room. My daughter is on the volleyball team, they had booked rooms with 2 double beds. When they arrived, they were told they only had rooms with single beds. It was already late, and this is the only hotel in town, so they couldn't go somewhere else. Half of the girls had to sleep on the floor or in the chairs. Complete incompetence, and again they did not offer to reduce the rate. The positives were that it was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Next year, we will stay in Edwards and drive an hour in the morning to get to the tournament.

I would stay here.

Room was clean. Had a clean microwave and mini fridge that was nice and cold. Tv worked fine and had decent channels. Bed was nice. Very affordable and comfortable room. I would stay here again.

Only hotel in town

The hotel was quiet, clean and spacious. The handicapped accessible room was great for my husband’s needs. Our only difficulty was there was no restaurant in town operating at the time of our visit so the nearest place was 17 miles away. This isn’t the hotels issue but had we known we would have made other arrangements.

The room was clean and bed and bed linens clean and super comfortable. What was awkward was there was no one in charge of the building where we stayed. We checked in at the tavern/restaurant next door and my husband had to go back there to get us comfortable and settled in bed.

Check in is at the diner & Jennifer was a delight. Our room was clean & the bed was pretty comfortable. The room did not have any cups, which was a bit inconvenient & it didn't have a coffee maker. we had dinner at the diner & it was really good & again Jennifer was a delight. Then we had breakfast & the woman who was at the diner was also very nice. The only negative is that the hotel could use some updates.

We like Yampa! We loved the people who helped us check in and cooked our food in the cute little diner. However, run down areas around the place. Trash cans overflowing, the entry from outside not work with passkey. People were propping the doors open. The ac/heater was noisy the rooms and halls very stuffy, carpets need shampooing.

I showed up earlier than check in time. I told them I had been driving all night and had 3 little ones plus wife. They immediately check me in and gave us a room. I am forever grateful for the humanity. Because any where else they deflect moral humanity to company policy. These were real people who treated us more than fairly.... Thank you to the lady in the dinner and the cook.

Perfect country get away.

Just what I needed. No frills, just clean comfortable bed and bath. The ladies at the cafe work very hard to give they're customers exactly what they want. I've been coming to Yampa for over 20 years, minus COVID, but this is the first time I stayed at the hotel and it was worth it. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Peaceful and quiet, no stomping around, yelling, drunken brawlers, or kids running in the hall. I love this place! I' be back sometime on the summer. 😘
