The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff was very pleasant. There were at least three restaurants within walking distance which was very nice. I would recommend this hotel to others who are traveling in this area. The only real negative was that they didn't serve any type of breakfast but we knew that when we made our reservation so we really can't complain there.

We stayed in the new section on the third floor. The room had a beautiful view of Mt Rainier and the sunrise. Coffee and tea were always available in the lobby which was very convenient.

This hotel has 2 types of rooms. There is the main hotel building, where the rooms are nice. (We had friends in those rooms) Then there is the motel building, where we were and still paid a lot (about $180/night). -Motel rooms open to the outdoors, not inside a building. Our room actually had about an inch of space under the door, (see photo with light coming in) allowing outside air and any small critter that might be nearby to enter the room. -There is no elevator in the motel building. We were on the 2nd floor. It's always fun carrying luggage up stairs for a couple of 75 year olds. -The room was small with furniture crammed together. I had to move a chair to use the closet. -Re: The closet. It only had 2 hangers, and there is a sign telling guests not to steal them. We had some wood Ikea hangers. Used them...and left for others. -The bathroom is a hallway with a toilet on one end, and a shower on the other. It is a nice shower. The sink is outside the bathroom. The water was not draining well from the sink. -There was only 1 hand towel, probably because there's no place to hang towels near the sink. -The room was mostly clean, with just a few minor issues, like a few small hairs in the sink area. -Staff was helpful and nice. I did tip housekeeping. Location is good. If you stay here, make sure you get in the main building. Pricing is probably high because it's one of only a few places to stay in Yelm.

I stayed there on 8/08/2026, Check in is at 3pm I got there at 2:50pm and my room wasn't ready I was told to go back in 30 min ( they were short staffed and running behind). I went back at 3:30pm and was told that my room was still not ready and they couldn't tell me how much longer it would take. At this point I was going to be late to the event that started at 4pm. When I booked this hotel I booked it because it would be closer and I would have time to get ready before the event. I was late and had to get ready at the event. This could have been handled better and it wasn't! they could have called to let me know my room wouldn't be ready by 3 so I could have figured out a way to get ready before. When I asked if there would be some type of discount for this I was told the manger would get back to me. I called a few days later and nothing, again was told the message would be passed on to the manager. It has almost been 2 weeks now since I stayed there, and no call from the manager. I've been told twice the manager would get back to me, and I have not received a call back. It's very unprofessional and the worst experience I've had at a hotel, I would not recommend this place or would I stay there again! I understand if you are short staffed but the lack of communication, it's very unprofessional.

We had to book the room after the Gateway Inn was shut down by the county, but was able to get a clean room with helpful staff. The place was clean and quiet and the staff helpful. It was still within reach of Mt Rainier and better than sleeping in the car!

This was the perfect overnight stop for our trip to Mt Ranier. The hotel's location is in a great spot as we were able to walk to a nearby restaurant and grocery store. The hotel was clean and quiet. The lady at the front desk was very friendly.
