If you enjoy Bed and Breakfast stays, you will love it here. Classic, beautiful old home, quiet and peaceful, and gorgeous landscaping. Its walking distance to York center. The hosts are charming and attentive. We would absolutely return.

The place is beautiful and spotless. Rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. Beds are comfortable. Very good location: walking distance to beaches and restaurants. The owners are super nice and accomodating. I highly recommend to anyone seekng a quiet beautiful place to relax.

Bittersweet Inn stay

Bittersweet Bed and Breakfast was absolutely perfect!! The grounds and building was meticulously maintained with care. The room was adorable and our chats with Victor (the owner) were great!! It is about a 2 minute drive to York Beach, a short walk to Neddick beach and about 10 minutes from Ogunquit. We had a fabulous stay and highly recommend this sweet B&B!!

Lovely stay close to the beach

We came for the weekend to visit the area, and had such a lovely stay. We have stayed in several bed and breakfast before, and this was one of the most clean locations we have stayed at. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the location of the property itself was very convenient to visiting the local area. We were able to walk to short sands beach in about 10 minutes, and also walked to dinner at the local lobster pound as well. Our hosts were also very friendly and offered good suggestions of sites to visit in the local area. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband found this gem of a B&B. We stayed for two nights. Ray & Victor are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and nice to chat with. Our room was beautiful, spotless, bed was comfortable. A wonderful stay at the Bittersweet B&B

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Bittersweet Bed & Breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Check-in was easy and our room was excellent! We enjoyed our breakfast outside on the covered porch, so relaxing! Our hosts were gracious, professional and welcoming, offering good suggestions for dinner in nearby restaurants and friendly conversation. The location of the B&B was excellent, just south of Ogunquit and just north of York. The outlet shopping at Kittery was a short drive away. We highly recommend a stay here, without question!

This is the second time we stayed with Victor and Ray. Everything was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable. Actually slept with the window open and smelled the ocean breeze. Victor and Ray were awesome hosts!! The breakfast was delicious, they helped with all needs... They were quick to offer a hose to help wash a wound off outside, they were a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area (including great places to eat!). A great great GREAT place to stay, what a wonderful experience! We travel all the time, but not normally to the same place. However should we ever come back to the York area, well be staying here! Thank you Victor and Ray, your hospitality was wonderful!

Very relaxing

Our room was clean and beautifully decorated. Our hosts were friendly, gracious and interesting to chat with. Breakfast was the same each day. A bit of variety and/or creativity could improve that. The photos in the listing were a bit misleading regarding proximity to the beach. There was no ocean or bay view and a beach day would require a car. Overall our stay was relaxing and pleasant.
