"The welcome from the the Receptionist was excellent ensured we had a suitable room to meet our needs. Hotel room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The room was heated individually, controlled in the room. Breakfast was excellent lots of hot and cold choices. Highly recommend especially due to the onsite parking which is a bonus in York. All the staff are very polite and friendly."

"Lovely hotel, great location in the centre of town. Staff were happy to take our bags, when we arrived well ahead of check in, in fact all the staff whether in reception, breakfast or in the bar were polite and professional. Thought the rooms were excellent and very comfortable, huge comfy beds and spotless. Just enjoyed the layout of the hotel very relaxing with a nice atmosphere, overall an excellent stay and will definitely be back."

"Had two nights in a family room whilst visiting York, which can be easily accessed by car in minutes. The ground-floor room was clean, spacious and very well appointed, with a large TV and a small but perfectly formed bathroom boasting an array of hand-wash, shower gel, shampoo and separate conditioner! Breakfast was excellent, though options for evening dining were limited. That said, we enjoyed a couple of lovely meals at the nearby Cross Keys pub, where it was possible to reserve a table. Would most definitely consider Stableside at York Races again if visiting York by car."

"First time at this hotel and we loved it. Location is excellent, staff are friendly and professional, Room was spacious and with the "Club" room, it had all the amenities. It was very clean, and we ate in the bar which was a pleasant experience, and the cocktails were of a very good quality and reasonable. Our only issue is limited on site parking, though there is a NCP next door, queuing was long, and we did not book a breakfast but decided to have one in the morning and it is very expensive; and average."
