"Everything was ok. That really is also the problem I have with it. Because the price paid - well over £200 for 1 night - wasn’t at an “ok” price range. Sure, it had a Smeg fridge, but we didn’t use it and honestly if we had we’d not really have cared what brand it was. Maybe though we’d have chosen one whose door didn’t stick out quite so far into an already cramped room.
The bed was ok, the TV was ok, the wall art was ok. The curtains worked. The AC worked. The lift worked. The door card worked (first time too)
The breakfast was ok, yet for the English breakfast had only ok bacon, less than ok sausage, ok tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns and scrambled eggs (no poached or fried). 2 varieties of mini pastries. A slightly gimmicky and slow waffle making machine with a messy counter (think Pizza Hut ice cream factory after the 5th kids party of the day) and a few of the other usual bits and pieces alongside the standard machine coffee maker.
Throughout the room and hotel nothing stood out (except the aforementioned Smeg fridge door). Nothing screamed “I’m worth the extra £100 for this over other hotel options”.
None of it was bad, but equally none of it was great. Unless you’re hugely into Smeg appliances I suppose.
