Quite and peaceful as it was an October stay, close to everything, very clean. Nice beds. Breakfast at the neighbour- coffeeshop/ bakery was traditional - freshly baked bread and rolls, warm mini sausages, eggs, mushrooms, bacon, "köttbullar", cheese, jam, cold cuts etc. Many elderly locals stopped by ...

One of the nicest boutique hotels I’ve visited

First experience was wow! The room was really amazing - especially when I arrived when the evening was dimming. There’s everything needed. The breakfast on the other hand, arranged in the cafeteria next door, wasn’t splended but ok. I suppose they’re renovating their own breakfast room. All and all, really pleasant stay - definitely worth recommending!

i am very familiar to Sweden, especially Ystad and Simrishamn, but that’s not a very important factor, when it comes to why i love that hotel. I wish there were a way to upload photos and videos to give a more detailed review. First of all, i am a big fan of antics and buildings that have been around for decades, and this building offers that sort of reach into the past vibe. The rooms and hallways are adorned with interesting portraits and posters of artists and celebrities, and it’s one of those places that still use an actual key to access the rooms (there’s a digital entry at the main entrance as well. Everything is nearby, the city hall, the train station, lots of shops and restaurants, all within 2-15 minutes from the hotel. Do not rent a car. it is simply NOT needed! I had the privilege to enjoy breakfast at one of the locations where they shot the tv series Wallander (Netflix.) My room opened into the small courtyard, and it was simply a much appreciated add-on. If you’re a writer and want to have some quiet time to chill or write…this is a place to consider. I will definitely go back, despite having the option to stay with friends and family.

This is my second time staying here while in Ystad. Perfectly located, I can’t say enough good things about Cameo. Johan the owner is fantastic and makes sure you have everything you need for a great stay. Highly recommended! Tack!

Tiny room

A tiny room with a toilet in one corner and the shower in the another. That is, you have to cross the entire room to walk from the toilet to the shower. Not an issue for all but we found it inconvenient. There are many decorations in this tiny room so there is almost no room left to store your belongings. The breakfast in the cafe nearby is okay, but the experience was quite crude.

Dejligt hotel, med central beliggenhed. Meget god service og hurtige svar fra Johan, hvilket er meget værdsat som gæst. Tjek ind var meget fleksibel selv med sen ankomst. Værelserne er hyggelige, men små, til gengæld godt indrettede og det er en fordel at man har både et toilet samt badeværelse hver for sig. Der er dog meget lydt, om ikke andet på den gang vi boede på, så man skal helst ikke være for støjsensitiv. Desuden har hotellet ikke sin egen morgenmad/cafe/restaurant endnu, og efter at have set udvalget på caféen, hotellet for nuværende har en aftale med, ombestemte vi os og gjorde ikke brug af den inkluderede morgenmad.
