Its tranquil setting with a private beach at the end of the bay from Makry Gialos, makes it feel secluded whilst still being a short walk from the harbour with its tavernas and cafes. Oleander's Garden

10/10 Excellent

"Great location , just slightly set back in the hillside . Makes for a tranquil escape. Short walk (10mins) , slight incline to the beach and pockets of tavernas. The room was a good size, remarkable value for money and the aircon worked really well. Lovely host and a decent selection at breakfast."

Casa di Cornaro

10/10 Excellent

"My stay here was amazing. The room was on the top floor with a beautiful view of the water and sunrise. Extra large balcony to sit and enjoy music from the promenade. Inside was modern and stunning. Bathroom and vanity area perfect size. Large queen size bed super comfortable. All things in kitchen to cook if you want but the restaurants are all in walking distance as well as a spa. I can’t wait to visit again. Contactless check in was great."

Castri Village Hotel

8/10 Good

"Ver clean, lovely host, wonderful views, closer to Kouremenos Bch than Palaicastro was, in the middle of everything we wanted to see and do. Breakfast was good; wifi was having issues while we were there, but a bit of tolerance for the roads and the wifi of eastern Crete is a must."

"Welcoming host - gave us her freshly baked cake on arrival:-) We enjoyed the pool. The beach is fabulous and close."
