The room was extremely dated, with old carpets and décor that made the place feel dirty and uncomfortable. The atmosphere was unpleasant and honestly gave the impression of a very dodgy one-night-stand hotel. The location is awful if you’re visiting Zürich — it’s far from the city centre and surrounded by industrial buildings. Do not stay here if your plan is to enjoy the city.
The curtains were plastic and stained with brown marks, which was disgusting. The bathroom smelled strongly of mould, as if it hadn’t been properly ventilated in years, and there was visible mould on the ceiling above the shower. The bed was equally bad — a thin, strange mattress that offered no comfort at all.
I only stayed one night because I had an early flight the next morning. If that hadn’t been the case, I would have checked out immediately.
The only positives were the staff, who spoke good English, an easy check-in process, and an excellent breakfast. The croissants were genuinely the best I had during my time in Switzerland.Overall, this hotel is only suitable if you are desperate for a cheap overnight stay near transport. Otherwise, avoid.
