Clean and peaceful. Loved the history of this place, their orchard, pond, garden and pasture. So sad I did not get to try their cakes.

Tolles Hotel in altem GemĂ€uer. Einfache Zimmer sowie einfaches FrĂŒhstĂŒck, eben genau so wie man es von einem Kloster erwarten wĂŒrde.

Einzigartig - wir haben uns im Kloster Kappel sehr wohlgefĂŒhlt. Die Anlage und die Umgebung sind einfach traumhaft.

Externally is wonderful. The rooms are a disappoin

Externally the place is superb. But inside the refurbishment / renovation completely has completely distorted the environment. They put red lacquered handrails, red tiles in the corridors and laminate in the rooms instead of using the natural stone that was probably present before the renovation. In the room there is no airconditioned, nor refirgerator or television. But there is free WiFi. The refectory is asthonishing. Is located in the basement of the church and for reaching it you need to pass in the closter which is very well maintened. Externally there is an impressive garden full of aromatic herbs which worth a visit. The panorama is really amazing. The breakfast is extremely frugal but good. There are no croissants, eggs or continental breakfast. The decision to keep the monastic tradition for breakfast somewhat clashes with the wine display where Amarone, Brunello and other very fine and expensive Italian wines stand out and have little to do with the much ostentatious 'monasticity' of breakfast

Klosteridylle!

Als Reisender muss man eine Klosteranlage mögen! Es ist einfach aber sehr funktional eingerichtet. Das Kloster ist wunderbar gelegen und sehr ruhig (GlockengelĂ€ut der KĂŒhe!).

Wir waren sehr positiv ĂŒberrascht von dieser Unterkunft. Sauber, etwas spartanisch, aber modern eingerichtet. FĂŒr unser BedĂŒrfnis gerade richtig, fĂŒr eine Nacht optimal. Gut gelegen, nahe Stadt Baar und Zug in wunderschöner lĂ€ndlicher Gegend gelegen.

Beautiful Monastery

This is a beautiful hotel in an outstanding quiet location with breathtaking views. This old monastery is about more than the bedrooms. The rooms are clean but basic with no TVs. However the beds are comfy and the views incredible. Breakfast is basic but the breads and jams very tasty. Kloster Kappel for me was an experience more than a hotel stay.

Kloster Kappel

Wir ĂŒbernachteten eine Nacht, auf der Durchreise, im Kloster. Die AtmosphĂ€re war etwas kĂŒhl, wie die alten Mauern. Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass hier vor allem Gruppen fĂŒr Seminare buchen. Das Zimmer war schön und sauber, gut gelegen mit einer wunderbaren Aussicht. Auf der Terrasse gab es kleine Mahlzeiten. Wer sich fĂŒr Geschichte interessiert, ist hier am richtigen Ort.

Amazing views

Beautiful drive to the hotel. Amazing views from the rooms. A unique adventure we won't forget. No air conditioning which is typical of old hotels. Only drawback for light sleepers is the cows have massive bell's clanging till dark then again at dawn.It won't keep me from visiting again but light sleepers be warned to bring ear plugs!

Das Zimmer war sehr einfach eingerichtet und es war kein Fernseh vorhanden. FĂŒr 125Chf pro Nacht habe ich mehr Komfort erwartet. In dem CafĂ© kann man leider nichts warmes essen und man muss somit in ein anderes Restaurant gehen fĂŒr eine warme Mahlzeit.

Le personnel Ă©tait vraiment trĂšs gentil et accueillant par contre Ă  notre arrivĂ© il n’était plus possible de manger Ă  l’hĂŽtel. Nous aurions dĂ» rĂ©server et ĂȘtre sur place pour 18h si nous avions voulu y manger ce dont nous n’avions pas Ă©tĂ© informĂ©. Chambre ok mais pas de tĂ©lĂ©vision. Rideaux trĂšs sales. Il y avait des taches de moisissures dessus. Dommage car pour 190.- la nuit on aimerait au moins pouvoir avoir l’impression d’ĂȘtre dans une chambre valant ce prix.
