Communication ( language ) difficulties aside, the offerings, despite the relative cleanliness, are sorely lacking. Not having a simple desk to rest one's laptop or cellphone on a charger is a game changer. Having one chair for two people is another."

"The best hostel that I had stay so far "

"We stayed at Ibis Porto São João for two nights and found the location very convenient, with Uber making it easy to get around. The room was simple but very clean and had what we needed for a short stay. The garage was also easy to access. The best feature was the small mall underneath the hotel, accessible directly by a connecting staircase. It had several places to eat and a laundromat, which was especially handy during our trip. Breakfast was okay."
