"I was very impressed. All I needed was a bed and a shower for a late arrival and an early departure. I chose it because the price was attractive, but I worried that I might find the Bates Motel upon arriving. It looks like new construction and a large building. I will gladly stay there again. "We had Room #9 King terrace with river view. Its literally 50 yards from the river. Bbqs to use, fishing poles, probably a lot more. Totally worth it, the owners and staff are fantastic. I will be back for sure. - Jaz"

"Wonderful stay. Room had a few maintenance issues but nothing that distracted from our visit. Rooms were very clean and beds quite comfortable. Cleaning staff was extremely kind and accommodating and really added to a good experience. The value for the money is good and we'd definitely here again if our in Kernville. Recommend it for it's small town charm, cleanliness, and value."

"Room was clean and comfortable but no maid service given between nights. Walking distance to Lake Isabella with a view from window. Remote-off-site check-in at nearby Barewood Motel after 3pm. Friendly staff. Comfortable room and bed, AC & paddle fan on ceiling kept it cool in very hot weather. Good TV choices. No breakfast provided other than coffee, so bring food, beverages, snacks or stop at a store on the way and use fridge and microwave. Restaurants 5 minute drive away in Kernville. No pool. Free parking. Quiet. I'd stay there again."
