I arrived at around 7pm and put the code into the door lock and turned the handle only to find that the door was also locked with another lock I phoned the contact number on the booking confirmation only to find it was an office and nobody was there, so I left a message, I never had a reply. I rang Hotels.com, who were very helpful. But they were unable to get me a refund. I had not read the reviews for the place, but I sugest that if you want to make booking...

They had no knowledge of my booking through Expedia when I ran to check but then subsequently told me that the room was still available and they booked the room directly for me. I heard nothing from them prior to my arrival regarding key code entry to the property and to the room. "I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Steamer! The room was exactly as shown in the photo. It was fresh and clean. Hearing the sounds of the ocean all night is an added bonus! The pub and restaurant downstairs was the perfect place to go for great food and conversation. They even take the time to reserve tables for guests staying in the rooms. The staff were so attentive and involved; you couldn't tell who was the owner/manager and who was hired staff - a good sign of a well-run...
