"The hotel was perfect.Friendly staff made it easy to check in and out after our stay. The food was really good and lots of it . The drinks in the bar were sensibly priced . Room was clean , tidy and ready on time . The mattress on the twin beds was a bit hard . But I suppose the hotel can’t cater for different people mattresses preferences.10 minutes walk into York which was good and when we ordered a taxi on the last night the drivers were brilliant and the fare was a good price 👍"

"Really nice reception staff and made us feel welcome and was really nice to us as we stayed there because my daughter had an operation and needed to rest after and they made sure we had everything we needed and one of them even offered to fill her hot water bottle for her stomach. So thank u. The rooms are small but u dont need much when it's just for a rest spot for a few days. Thanks again to the staff and making sure my daughter had everything she needed. Much appreciated."

"Once we had found the entrance which isn't that well sign-posted (my only complaint), we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness of the room and the relative ease of parking (we only had to pay until 6pm and Sundays are free). Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise, given that the menu in the room only mentioned continental style but plentiful, good quality hot food was available.
