"This is a lovely cottage and the location is great. We had a fantastic stay in Windermere. However, be aware that the street parking is only for an hour and so a paid carpark is needed, not free parking as advertised. I messaged Sykes Cottages about this issue twice and received no response so communication was unfortunately a problem. The cottage was also in the process of being cleaned when we arrived, despite this being after the check-in time."

"Perfect quiet location not too far from shops and bars. A short journey to Bowness-On-Windermere about 5 minutes by car but very much walkable. The space in the accommodation was huge absolute perfection"

"Fantastic location, easy parking and a good use of the space ! Information guide was super helpful, with kitchen so well equipped for all the little things ! Lovely little bathroom too. Nice and quiet with easy access. Will definitely be coming back !"

"Property had reasonable price. However guest at least expecting property to be clean. There was too many spider everywhere in the property. Clear haven’t clean it properly I had to spent an hour to clean which something you do not expect in your holiday. Location was perfect. Easy parking , Just 7 min drive from Windermere. There is local shop around so easy to get stuff."

"Extremely friendly staff, made us feel very welcome! Lovely spacious room & really good shower, nice big comfortable bed & peaceful stay, big private balcony, breakfast was amazing!! Not a problem but room & balcony could do with a little updating & bbc channels didn't work properly due to signal but we had a lovely stay. Very close to village & lake, excellent location & would definitely stay again if we are in Windermere"
