"We arrived early at the property and were able to use our room before 2pm...the staff were extremely welcoming and very friendly. The room itself was very comfortable and clean with a lovely en suite...it was perfect for our overnight stay and an easy walking distance from Cardiff city centre. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would go back again"

"Stayed here for 1 night so I could attend an Alice Cooper concert. The hotel was ideally located in the city centre, close to shops, bars and restaurants and a short walk from the concert venue. The lady on reception was really friendly and helpful. The room was adequate, clean and tidy. Most importantly it had a kettle with tea and coffee. I will definitely stay here again when i return to Cardiff"

"This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel in the last nine months, and it is excellent. The staff, rooms and especially the food they serve is excellent. Make sure you are hungry as the portions are large. I would recommend Mullions 51 to anytime, to stay or have a meal. I hope to stay there again in October."

"Really friendly at check in and throughout. Free parking a bonus. Room was great for what we needed with good facilities. Loved the fact there was a bar downstairs - very convenient for a nightcap. Not noisy at all. Room very hot (weather was extreme) and only one window to open but there was a fan. Would definitely stay again when in the area,"

"We had a great stay. It was a city break with my two children and we really enjoyed the experience. The CoalShed has real character and was a great place to hang out with my kids and use as a base to explore all the great stuff on offer in Bristol. "I stay at the Glendale regularly to visit my daughter and granddaughter who live nearby. It is a lovely hotel above an Italian restaurant with very convenient access to Penarth train station with regular trains into nearby Cardiff. It has both single and double size rooms and I usually choose a single.
