"This was a great property for our stay in Salzburg.. The rooms were fine for our needs. Worth using the underground car park but only limited spaces. Breakfast basic but very good. Make sure you ask about free bus and train passes which you can get from reception. The hotel is served by a number of buses."

"We liked everything about the property especially the location right on the river and an easy walk to Salzburg's main attractions. Felix, our receptionist, was an excellent host. "Super “charming” and quaint. Not for everyone. My family were not impressed. However, I grew up poor so Haus Wartenburg was like a palace to me. There’s so much potential here. If I had a few million euros….."

"The Salt is an amazing property, so clean, wuiet and peaceful. The comfortable double room we had was superb with plenty of space and a great walk in shower. Downstairs in the note communal area there was an attached cafe and a fabulous lounge area with coffee machine and kettle. Outside, Hallein is a fabulous old town with a great selection of dining options. Thank you for a wonderful stay."
