"The building feels very outdated, and there was a noticeable bad smell in the room. The furniture looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 1950s, which was disappointing considering the price. Paying $393 for one night felt quite unreasonable for a property in this condition. There were also visible stains on the carpets throughout the hotel, which made the place feel poorly maintained. On a positive note, the staff were very nice, approachable, and polite, which we appreciated. However, several details made the stay feel less welcoming. We had to request our robes even though they should have already been prepared in the room. There were also only two complimentary water bottles even though three of us were checking in. While we could have asked for another, it would have been nicer if the room had been prepared based on the number of guests. The washroom also did not have an exhaust fan, which made it uncomfortable to use. The TV had no access to any movie or streaming platforms, which was surprising for a hotel at this price point. The heater was not set to automatic mode, so the room was freezing at night and it took quite a while for the room to warm up. Another issue was the very thin walls. We could clearly hear the person in the next room snoring, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, while the staff were friendly and helpful, the outdated facilities, lack of soundproofing, and high price made the stay disappointing."
