"The location is perfect. We were a block from our whale watching tour, two blocks from the beach (parque nacional marina ballena), and there were some smaller but very good restaurants nearby. It was easy access to the highway as well. We enjoyed the pool and the shower and A/C worked well. It was very convenient for everything we came to do. Also recomment the restaurant La Boba La Ballena nearby."

"The Hotel Ballena Ray is a gem. While the overall vibe is laid back, the rooms are perfect for a long stay with kitchenette and other basic amenities. The breakfast is especially wonderful as is the staff. And the pool, though small, is wonderful and has a bar open in the late afternoon and evening. You can swim until 9PM, which is a nice bonus after a long day exploring the surrounding areas of Uvita, Ballena Marine National Park (5 minute walk from the property) and the surrounding areas....

Nice trails for an early morning hike, coupled with a great breakfast made a perfect start to our morning. Toucans, howler monkeys and a gorgeous sunset made this stay one of our favorites. Clean room and wonderful staff were appreciated. We stayed in the Manu room."
