My husband and I had a wonderful stay with Jean-Paul & Genevieve in their gorgeous B&B. Located in a small countryside village, we found the location perfect for exploring the wider area, though it is remote from shops & restaurants so you must plan accordingly. The guesthouse is situated in a wonderfully restored substantial village property, with great comfort and decor, as well as a very refreshing pool in which to cool down. Parking was conveniently nearby, and our hosts were incredibly...

What a truly fantastic place, lovely rooms, great breakfast and a wonderful host. Plus a swimming pool.

This property is like the Jewel in the Crown!! Firstly, don't be put off by the small number of excellent reviews as it has only opened this year. The hosts, Katy and Olivier, were both working in England for many years at a high quality and popular hotel in the Yorkshire Dales. Katy's family owned this Yorkshire hotel and Olivier was the head chef. When the family sold the Hotel, Katy & Olivier returned to his native France and then the Maison du canal du midi was born. It's a beautiful old...

Absolutely fantastic 2-day stay in the Royal Suite at Le Château de La Seigne. It’s only a 10-minute drive from Carcassonne, and Ubers had no trouble picking us up right at the gate quickly. The château itself is stunning and beautifully restored, packed with character and cool features like vintage restored cars in the entrance garage, a working old-school jukebox near the hall and a characterful staircase up to the upper rooms. The Royal Suite was huge, spotless, and had incredible views...

It has been a very pleasant stay for the whole family. Although we arrived later than planned and left in the morning, we could still feel that everything was prepared with care and attention to the detail. The lovely couple that is running the business was really friendly to us - we felt great at their home. I wish them many happy guests and I totally recommend Villa Celine to everyone. Best of luck!

Great stay , garage safe for bikes , great food , great staff , easy what else to say other than highly recommend

BJ and Iris were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The setting was great with wonderful views and a stones throw from Carcassonne city. Breakfast was wonderful with home made jams. BJ was also very kind to re freeze our ice packs for the onward journey. We will definitely be back.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable with beautiful views. The breakfast was charged extra and there was plenty of cereal, bread, cheese, meats, fruits and yoghurts etc. It is over 4 km from Carcassone and buses are infrequent but there is plenty of parking if you take a car. We had a fabulous stay.

We chose the hotel because it offered breakfast as part of the deal. When we got there we discovered it was a very remote (quiet) rural, converted farmhouse offering modern room facilities and excellent breakfast. It also had an outdoor, unheated, swimming pool, horses to ride and staff who could not do enough for us. Most spoke good English; the manager and his wife are both English as was the main waitress in the evenings. We chose to eat there the first night and as a result ate there...

Lovely hotel in an excellent location, just a short walk into the old town but also on a street with plenty of amenities of its own. Free parking nearby in the Place Barbicane which was easy to find and close to the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and local products. The hotel garden was beautiful, and a cute if very small roof terrace too from which you can get a view of the city walls.

stunning location - rustic French chic Beware the pizza/bar closes at 9pm secure garage for my motorbike was a welcome bonus

.

The property was in a good location, quiet but walkable to all important sites. Catherine was a lovely host, very accommodating, had breakfast ready each morning and kept our luggage on our day of departure.

Just returned from a few days here - great little hotel, only 300m from La Cite de Carcassone's medieval walls. Really easy to get to and from as it is on the main road east out of Carcassonne (but it is extremely quite). Rooms are good, superb air-con, very clean and spacious, with hairdryer and toiletries provided. Ours had a mini kitchenette with fridge, sink, hotplate and microwave. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nightlife and restaurants is 300m away in La Cite. Breakfast is the usual...

Great value and easy location
