"We walked to hotel from Waverley Rail station was 30 min walk. Get a taxi if got cases and bags. Lovely walk otherwise to Princes street. Can walk to town centre by side of river through Leith Gardens. Lovely walk. Hotel staff were quick to book us in. room was lovely, big, clean, tea coffee milk biscuits. Shower, hair and soap in bathroom. Shower curtain was spotlessly clean. Lovely big soft towels. We were overlooking the river which was nice. We had a very pretty lounge next to our room....

"Really nice property with a nice restaurant connected to it. Friendly staff. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because housekeeping entered my room without knocking. On the day of checkout, (which is at 11am) housekeeping knocked on my door at 8am, waking me up from my sleep. I work at a hotel and we always knock at least 3 times before entering a room and we never knock on a door before 11am. My only complaint."

"We had a family room. Easy to pull up and park right outside the room. Beds very comfortable and view wonderful. It was a short 10 min drive to the station and a 20 min. train ride to the heart of Edinburgh. Definitely would stay again....so easy! "We were lucky that there was still a room available with view on Edinburgh Castle. Everything we wanted to visit was within 30 minutes walking distance and the bus and tram to and from the airport stop close by.
