"More akin to a Guest House, this small hotel offers a superb location for a relaxing break with beautiful, empty, sandy beach just a few meters away. The staff were attentive and very friendly. Rooms vary but ours was air conditioned; basic but comfortable, this is not 4* accommodation but there again, you are not paying 4* rates. Free WiFi is provided but does come and go and is never high speed so don't expect to be streaming your favorite TV shows. Food is good value and we enjoyed everything...

"Beautiful Geoffrey Bowa- designed boutique hotel set in a beautifully tended garden. This is our second stay & it didnt disappoint. The staff remembered us after 4 years! "This was our last stay in Sri Lanka & turned out to be a very relaxing end to our holiday. its right on the river & you can take a boat ride under the mangroves from the hotel's jetty - a memorable, scenic ride. the view of the river from the balcony of our room gave us a serene calm feeling. tables & chairs are provided outside each room on the balcony which can be serviced from a separate entrance.
