"Had a lovely 2 night stay at The Beresford Hotel. My daughter and I shared a sea view twin room with ensuite. On arrival it looks quite run down and parking isnt great and is limited, however if you get a space they print a sign stating your name and reg number for £5 per night. This ensures you a parking space. We had an Assistance Dog and a retired Assistance Dog, who is now old and nothing was too much trouble and thevwere made to feel welcome, along with us. "We booked a 2 night stay, with our daughter in order to be at a close friend's funeral service and wake. The hotel is ideally located to appreciate the view across the water, and to watch the comings and goings in the bay. The staff were really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The public areas and therooms are lovely and clean. Parts of the hotel are ready for being refurbishment (which is about to take place) but it would be a shame if the whole project loses all of the period atmosphere...

"Staff, every single one of them polite, couldnt do enough to help. All room clean, a bit dated but that was the only negative. Except window in room was broke but tild reception and they were in it. Food great, breakfast included every breakfast you could imagine frim full English, salmon, pancakes whatever you wanted just ask. Really really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back. Booked parking prior to stay and our name was on the wall ready and waiting for our arrival. "

"Our first stay here and hope to return some time. Very reasonably priced. Great room and comfortable bed. Staff very helpful and friendly with nothing too much trouble. "Our room was very clean. We didn’t have a beach view however we enjoyed the stay albeit the hotel is undergoing renovation. Much of its features remain. I also believe that the show was absolutely first class plenty of hot water plenty of green towels."

"The location of this property is unbeatable. Close to the ocean and an easy walk to downtown. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I liked the parking which had a cost but was very convenient. They need to do a bit of work on the place. There was some areas in the room that needed painting and plaster work. The shower and bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was very good. "
