"Friendly pleasant staff especially at front of house, overall not a bad stay factoring in the price & proximity to the city centre we were quite pleased with our stay. The only thing that really stuck out to us was that the whole area around the food buffet/dining area on the hard floor was very sticky. Apart from that, the rest of public areas were clean & tidy, the room was clean & pleasant. There are some negative reviews on the property & i can kind of see where they maybe coming from as other people's views/expectations can vary slighlty, but atleast from our stay i have to give a positive review & we would return again in the future."

"From the moment we entered this hotel, we were greeted by very kind, caring staff. They were very helpful with questions, directions etc. We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. It was great to have breakfast included with our booking. Good variety of breakfast foods and nice areas to enjoy breakfast. Hotel is excellent location to walk to many sites. We are in our seventies and could walk easily to Holyrood Palace and Edinburgh Castle. Calton hill is right next door too. When we were there the city tram was down due to a fire along the line- had it been in service it would have stopped right in front of this hotel making a super easy commute from the airport. Our room was always clean and ample to our needs. It was very quiet at night too- great for sleeping. We would easily recommend this hotel to those wanting a central location in Edinburgh."
