"A very mixed bag. The location is amazing and we had an incredible view from our balcony. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The issue is with the service. I messaged multiple times before arriving to ask for help arranging a transfer from the station. I got no response. There was nobody at the reception when I came to check in (or ever). The hotel was advertised as having a pool. It does not have a pool. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the terrible service took the gloss off "

"Nonostante fosse indicato su hotels.com che il check-in fosse fino alle 23.00, siamo stati obbligati ad arrivare alle 22.30 come se fosse l'ultimo momento per poter entrare, anche perché era già un favore che ci aveste fatto visto che avreste dovuto chiudere alle 22.00. "I had no idea what to expect when I got off the train at Joppolo. I was warmly welcomed, a nice well-equipped room, a pool, breakfast and lovely surroundings. An easy stroll to the few local bar-ristoranti and to the station (uphill). Be warned unless you have a car, the nearest shop for a few supplies is even further up the hill which is not ideal in 30°+ temperatures. The staff were amazing, despite little English (and me little Italian), offering to give a lift back to the station. "
