Compare and book 3 Star hotels in Parton, Whitehaven

This hotel is a gem of a find with the most amazing staff, restaurant and beautifully decorated rooms. It should be a least 4 star and I cannot rave enough about it , thank u to all the amazing staff at MELBREAK

Booked the hotel and was surprised when checked in the scenery was breath taking and the room with a sea view I got very good value for my money.

The hotel was just at the end of some upgrades. The new bar looks amazing. I only stayed for 2 nights, but when the lady at breakfast found out I am lactose intolerant the next day there was everything I needed to enjoy my breakfast. Thank you

From checking in to checking out we felt that our comfort was uppermost to the staff. The breakfast was excellent and we chose to have an evening meal which was well presented and tasted home cooked. The drinks were not overpriced and we didn't feel the need to leave the hotel in the evening. We had an excellent experience and will be returning again in the spring.

I received a very warm greetings g when I arrived and was shown to my room, the room was very clean with a view of the train station which was amazing. I had dietary requirements and they were very happy to help. I really enjoyed it and will definitely return

Stayed as a stop gap between Scafell Pike and The West Highlands. Good location, just out of a town, but quiet. Lovely rooms, great breakfast, very friendly, efficient staff. The only possible criticisms I could think of are that the rooms could have been more thoroughly cleaned, but we're of a good standard, and it would have been lovely to have an alternative to tea and coffee provided in the rooms (like a mint tea or similar), but these really are pinickity things. Very good hotel, wonderful...

We had a fabulous 2 night stay. Rooms are very clean, breakfast was amazing and the hosts were fantastic. Would definitely stay here again. Great location to drive to St Bees beach or into town.

It was a pleasure staying 7 nights at Powter Howe.Like stepping back in time.Great Breakfast.and really good Homemade Bread and CakesAmazing views over Lake Bassenthwaite and Skiddaw.I am hoping to go back sometime soon. Thanks Brian Leecy.

top tier eggs Benedict! fantastic service

Stayed in one of the cabins - compact but spotless, warm (in January!) and comfortable - only very slight problem was the heating control which is a tad over complicated but did not in any way detract from our stay....own transport essential...fantastic location...food great and a great, welcoming staff team.

The couple that run it couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. The room was immaculately clean and the breakfast was lovely.would stay again

Only a short stop over but most enjoyable stay.

The hotel is a definite 11/10 it is stunning. The fact that it is only 2 minutes from the shops and 10 minutes walk to the lake makes it even better and the views are incredible. Breakfast was perfect as well and the staff were fantastic and so friendly and welcoming. Very highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back.

We could not fault this small hotel - top marks!

The apartment was fantastic, plenty of space for relaxing in the lounge, whipping up a quick snack in the kitchen (which was very well equipped with toaster over, stovetop range, cutlery, plates, and a small refrigerator). The bed was extremely comfortable, and the hotel is set back far from the small highway, so no noises disturbed our sleep. The bathroom had a bathtub and shower set up, complete with jets that we only discovered on the last day. Also a towel warmer, which was a very pleasant...

We stayed for 2 nights in the family room with a lovely view of the river and countryside.
