A lovely small hotel set back from the road but close to the centre of the delightful town of Cockermouth. Staff were courteous and friendly and breakfast very good indeed. Fresh fruit and other breakfast choices are top quality.

Really friendly staff throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is warm, cosy and comfortable with great parking facilities and is convenient for the shops in the town centre. Breakfast was of a very high standard, plenty to eat and delicious. We also booked an evening meal which was the highlight of our stay - we thoroughly recommend the dining experience. Many thanks to Cain, who looked after us in the bar and all the staff who were all very hard working, but extremely pleasant throughout. Wishing all at the Manor House a very Merry Christmas and we look forward to staying with you again in 2024.

Excellent, no issues at all. Friendly staff, fantastic breakfast, parking, great location only feedback would be room 8 ? Add a shower rayher than a mixer. But I would recommend.

Reception was quick and easy and informative. It appear breakfast was £15 not £22 as stated on your website. Also it is more cost effective to book direct with the hotel. We had a small double room in the attic which proved difficult for my tall husband due to restrcted ceiling height. Also there were no openable windows just a velux window which made the room a little claustrophobic.No lifts, no ground floor rooms and no ramp or rail to entrance thus difficult if you have mobiliity issues. Bar shuts at 10pm unless there are resident in situ. Tea and coffee and usual complimentary facilites. Staff very plrasant .
