"A lovely place to stay in Torshavn. Pros: - Lots of living space - Clean and tidy - Central location - easy walk into Torshavn - Lovely modern bathroom - Well equipped (down to the details of food bags and tin foil for packed lunches) Cons: - No instructions were provided to find the key box to gain access to the property (we had the code but took us about 10 minutes in the rain to find the keybox) - No blinds/curtains in the bathroom so had to makeshift one out of a shopping bag - No...

"This property was very quaint and in a good location. The company Vert, that manages the property was terrible with communication and replying. Also, it does NOT HAVE a washer and dryer in the apartment as listed, it has a non woeking washer and dryer in the dungy dirty and unsafe basement. I would not stay here again. "

"This Torshawn house was perfect! It definitely made our visit to the Faroe Islands all worth it. From great parking, comfortable amenities, walkable locations to excellent restaurants, groceries, cafes, the best part was the view from our top bedroom window. On a bright day, one sees colorful houses and buildings on the hilly landscape, but on dark rainy nights with small lights of the city, one can only imagine the VanGogh's Starry Night."

An idyllic, misty view of Sandavágur! I was on my way to the otherworldly Trøllkonufingur! Trøllkonufingur was one of the best sights on Vágar Island and one of the highlights of my trip. But, I also enjoyed the walk to and from there! I hiked about 12 KM that entire day and it was well worth it. Sandavágur has been voted the most well-kept village in the Faroes twice. And it's the most famous "city" in the country, and best voted traveling experience. Although, not an actual city at all - the population is only around 861! The name Sandavágur means sandy bay and refers to the sandy beach which used to be much larger than present. From one point in Sandavágur you can get a view of all the southern islands in the Faroes. And the red-roofed church seen in this photo is one of the best in the Faroe Islands! In fact, members of the Danish Royal Family were there 1 day after I was! I even saw their motorcade as they were continuing on their journey. A pretty cool experience, too ;). I took this photo on August 25th.
