"Quirky and incredibly well designed hotel! It can’t be easy remodeling a +500 year old hotel. Location was perfect! Downtown Colchester, walkable to shops and restaurants.
Modern amenities, fabulous decor, great location and incredible customer service! I really enjoyed staying in the historic hotel."

"The most likeable thing about this hotel is the staff. Lovey people, went out of their way to make me comfortable. The hotel could definitely do with an upgrade though, especially for business travel stays. Brilliant for on site parking. "

"Very clean and comfortable room, good standard and condition of furnishings. Great shower with quality Dove products provided. Staff were relaxed and friendly. Very good breakfast, lots of choice, (however I thought the coffee wasn't pleasant). Adequate parking (although it's charged at £8\24h)."
