"Excellent hotel to stay in. Staff couldn’t do enough to help, friendly and very knowledgeable. Rooms were spotlessly clean and well appointed bed very comfortable. Breakfast was a very good spread of both hot and cold food. Excellent location 200 m from the train station and Metro so couldn’t be easier to get to it. Plenty of eating houses around the area and there are discount vouchers in the lobby which can be used toward reducing the cost of your food when you’re going out to eat"

"This is the 4th time I’ve stayed at The Alfred and will definitely be back again. The staff are great, the rooms are good sized and modern (also thanks for the free upgrade last time!). Conveniently located in a quiet area but great transport links to the museums/centre and walkable to De Pijp and very close to Vondelpark."

"Very close to the Rijks Museum, Van Gogh Museum, Moco museum and a casino. We explores much of old Amsterdam by foot from here. Most interesting sights and destinations are within 30 minutes. There were countless dining options within a 15 minute walk."

"Overall great stay! I expect a lot worse but it was quiet, despite the constructions happening around the building. Room was comfortable and well equipped, bathroom was also good, towels were nice and thick, bed comfortable. Daily house keeping was done well. Because of the constructions the walk from the metro was a bit difficult especially with a suitcase, you had to drag through some dirt, but otherwise all good! I’d stay again. "
