We were able to check in early as our room was ready and we were able to leave our bags at the hotel after checking out so we could go round the town. "We had a warm welcome on arrival. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The situation of the hotel is perfect for walking into the town with excellent restaurants to choose from. We booked a snug double room which in itself was fine, however, we visited during a heatwave and found the room far too warm (even with the fan provided) and the bed a little on the small side. Having said that we found the decor and cleanliness perfect. "

"Would def stay again. Note that there is no AC in this hotel. They do provide a fan but it was quite warm even with. Kudos for doing their best given the heat. Stayed here for one night prior to cruising — can walk to cruise ship from hotel no problem. Lots of things to in the area. Very close to Southampton central station as well. "
