"First impressions were slightly underwhelming, but ignore those, the hotel is excellent and the staff are great. The food was wonderful and the pool was lovely. To swim and watch kites and eagles overhead is a rare pleasure and now a glorious memory. Criticisms - the room tended to get quite hot and there is public transport but it’s a bit of a walk away, but those a minor criticisms. On the main question - would I go back? Yes. Gladly. "Excellent location - if you pack lightly. Luggage not hard to carry from train station to the hotel. Property itself is a cute boutique hotel with attention to detail in every corner. Has a pool! It has 2 Michelin recommended restaurants, great food. There’s an elevator to take your luggage to the room. Rooms are modern and spacious! Do day trip to triberg, another gem of a town!"
