"Brilliant hotel and 5 star service, food excellent. "

"Absolutely fabulous weekend! Lovely room and we received a surprise upgrade with a spa bath! Fresh and tasty food at breakfast and restaurant. Staff are all top tier! Couldn't be more helpful, friendly and we have never felt more looked after than we did during our stay. We will definitely come back again. Spa was amazing and facilities spotless, we felt very relaxed and spoilt. 5⭐️ service all around."

"Really friendly staff and great location."

"Splendid historic manse with large bedroom, private bathroom and lovely quiet location. A comfortable two night stay provided by a lovely host serving up a terrific breakfast and great advice for enjoying the countryside and historic houses close by. "

"Abgelegens, etwas spezielles B&B, das aber seinen Reiz hat. 20 Minuten Autofahrt bis Castle Douglas mit Restaurants. Grosse Zimmer. Z.T. etwas ins Alter gekommen. Da Ende Saison, Frühstücksangebot doch etwas eingeschränkt. Insgesamt aber doch ok, wenn auch nicht ganz günstig."

"I recently returned to Lindean Guest House in Dumfries as it is my preferred accommodation when on business in the area. Great customer care provided and above average rooms with excellent breakfast and free parking available. Definitely recommend, very close to town centre yet a quiet, comfortable stay."

"We enjoyed our stay. Our room was comparatively small, aside from the king-sized bed - it's an old inn after all - but very comfortable and well equipped. We stayed there essentially because of the prospect of good food, and we certainly enjoyed our meal. The folk there were welcoming so it was a good experience, ."
