"Lovely atmosphere without any kids. The hotel was fully booked but didn't feel crowded.
The deluxe room was worth it - lovely coffee from the coffee machine and a little bar/fridge & robes.
The location was a short way uphill out of the town but in a nice area and not a long walk for anyone with reasonable fitness, There were plenty of buses. You could walk downhill to a bus stop and get off further uphill on the way back. There was also a hotel minibus into the town.
We had a great stay!

"Great option for families with children. Beach / walking path access from to pool area and good restaurant options nearby. Property is not new but it was clean and well kept. Good breakfast with many options. "

"Fantastic breakfast buffet, glorious views from the Junior Suite. Ventilation in the room was poor though - the Aircon was a little underpowered. The beds were huge, but provide little back support. Wonderful location, perfect for both relaxing holidays and hiking holidays. I will return one day."

"Very good location near historic old town. A few minutes walk from the Aerobus (airport to town public transport) stop. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff were all very welcoming and gave advice on local trips etc.... Glad we chose to stay here."

"Helpful reception staff, good sized pool area, lovely cleaning and catering staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Location is great and a superb central point for discovering the beautiful island of Madeira."

"Great location. Close enough to walk everywhere but not right in the midst of a super busy area. Parking was very convenient right behind the building. Bathroom was well lit and had great shower pressure. Breakfast room was very nice and had a variety of options. Roof top was lovely (pool unheated). I was also surprised with a bottle of sparkling wine on my birthday.
The only negatives were the beds and room temperature. The AC would not stay at a cooler setting and the beds were not breathable...
