Weather permitting, go to the Untersberg and Zwölferhorn mountains (use the chairlift and funiculars). Boat trip from Sankt Gilgen to Sankt Wolfgang on the Wolfgangsee. Check out the Landestheater for reasonable priced tickets for plays etc. Great beer gardens - check Salzburg city website for lots of ideas. "

"Wir hatten 1 Superior Zimmer im 13. Stock mit 1 grandiosen Aussicht! Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber. Wir waren angenehm überrascht. Die Matratzen waren leider durchgelegen und die Einrichtung könnte zeitnah 1 Make over vertragen. Die Mitarbeitenden waren sehr freundlich und hilsbereit. "What a neat property! Prime location near the Festungbahn, Dom and Mozartplatz. Easy walk across the river to see Mirabel gardens and other sites. No AC but we had a big fan in the room and with the open window, it was very comfortable, even in the heat of the day. Call ahead to be sure you can get parking if you need that. Staff was super helpful in getting us checked in and parked since the hotel is in a pedestrian zone and it can be a bit tricky. The location is worth it. Great breakfast in...
