"We stayed here for our anniversary following a recommendation and had a largely positive experience. The location is beautiful, everywhere was spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly. Both breakfast and the evening meal were also very good. Our only disappointments were that our anniversary wasn't acknowledged despite informing the hotel and restaurant in advance and a bathroom smell meant we had to change rooms. The staff moved us quickly but the second room lacked the romantic feel of our original choice. It is a lovely place and we would return but a few small details could be improved."

"Overall great stay. Only suggestions would be to brighten the hallway lights because they make the hotel look dingy. Also, the treadmills need to be replaced, they did not work well even for hotel treadmills."

"The Old Borough hotel rooms are above a bar, but despite being a Thursday evening, the rooms were quite quiet. They are away from the drinking customers. They were clean, the staff were courteous and helpful. You go to the bar to check in, and that seemed strange at first, but worked just fine. The clerk offered to book us a taxi for the next morning and the taxi arrived early, which was great. The only difficulty was the lack of parking for checking in, as we first checked in before dropping our rental car off. The parking lot was totally jam packed with bar/restaurant guests. There was no place reserved for hotel guests to park and check in. We got it worked out, but it was very stressful, and included me having to make maybe a 9-point turn to re-orient the car. It also included two random passers-by volunteering to help coordinate the traffic. I'm not kidding! Those two were so nice and helpful!! We left too early to sample breakfast."
