The only downside was the parking situation: a very small underground garage that didn't say it was full (first come, first served), and street parking was next to impossible to find, unless you parked before 6 pm or after 9:30 pm, as many people come to see the sunset (which IS beautiful). No street or underground...

"We arrived late in the evening after our transfer from the airport. The resort had arranged the transfer for us and the driver was waiting at arrivals for the 8 of us in our group. He was great and gave us a bit of a tour on the way to Calheta. Our reception at the resort went well and the woman on duty made sure we got down to the buffet before it closed. "We loved staying at the Aqua Natura Bay in Porto Moniz. The infinity pool has an spectacular view of the North side of the island. Rooms were clean, beds and pillow were comfy. Delicious breakfast included. The only thing I would like to point out is the parking limitation. However, they offered to pay for parking outside the hotel property. "We travelled in the off season (early March) and really enjoyed our stay. Our room had a garden view and it was perfect. We strolled through every pathway in the property and for a flower/garden/rose lover it would be absolutely amazing in the summer when everything is in bloom. Our check-in greeting and encounters with staff were always polite and cheerful and breakfast was perfect every morning. We would happily stay here again."

"Fantastic holiday villa with 3 bedrooms with all of them their own separate shower and toilet. Nice view over the Atlantic Ocean and situated on a 5 minutes drive to Calheta where there is a beach and a supermarket dining options. We had a great stay in Madeira at Calheta Heights and would recommend this villa to everybody! Only remark we have, the TV set is quite small for such a big living room if you want to spend the evening "netflix-ing"."
