"At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there."

We opted to go for the premium room with the outdoor shower however on arrival we had a loud and leaky AC unit. We spoke to the team and they were unable to get spare parts to fix it because of independence day which was incredibly annoying as all night it rattled and droned.
