"We arrived at the location and they didn't let us check in because we weren't a family. We were a couple of friends and just wanted to have location to enjoy out short holidays. They told us they would refund the money but just kept ignoring our messages. We had to do an online check-in where the saw that we weren't a family and didn't say anything until we drove 6h there. "The overriding memory of this hotel is the friendly smiling staff. All of them, reception, bell boys, concierge, housekeeper and breakfast staff were exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful and has been recently refurbished. I didn’t make it to the spa but friends say it was very nice. The location is also very good. "
